Refund & Cancellation Policy

Zangskar Taxi Service provides transportation services across Kargil, Ladakh, Zangskar, and Padum. We understand that travel plans in the Himalayan region can change due to weather, road conditions, or personal circumstances.

1. Cancellation by Customer

2. Cancellation by Zangskar Taxi Service

  • Full refund of the amount paid, or
  • Free rescheduling to an alternative date/time of your choice.

3. Force Majeure (Weather & Road Conditions)

Full refund or free rescheduling applies for:

  • Road closures due to landslides, snow, or washouts
  • Weather warnings from local authorities
  • Natural disasters and government-imposed travel restrictions
  • Medical emergencies (with valid proof)

4. Partial Refunds

  • Trip shortened by road conditions: refund for unused portion.
  • Vehicle downgrade: fare difference is refunded.
  • Service not rendered: refund for unprovided paid add-ons.

5. No-Show Policy

If you are not at pickup within 30 minutes and do not inform us by phone/WhatsApp, the booking is treated as completed and no refund applies.

6. Refund Processing

  • Processing time: 7-10 business days from approval.
  • Refund mode: same method used during booking.
  • Currency: Indian Rupees (INR).
  • Gateway fees (typically 2-3%) may be deducted unless cancellation is from our side.

7. Requesting Cancellation / Refund

Please share:

  • Booking reference number
  • Your name and contact number
  • Scheduled trip date and time
  • Reason for cancellation

8. Booking Modifications

Date, time, or vehicle changes are allowed up to 12 hours before pickup at no extra charge. Changes within 12 hours may incur up to 25% fee, subject to availability.

9. Dispute Resolution

If unresolved after 14 days of direct support, disputes may be escalated to the local consumer grievance forum in Kargil or the district of your booking.
